The Mitchell Fun 3 (U10) McKee ringette team split a pair of home-and-home Lower Ontario Ringette League games with Dorchester over the Oct. 18-19 weekend, with each team winning on the road.

In Dorchester Oct. 18, Makayla McFarlane’s fifth goal of the game with 23 seconds left was the winning marker in a wild 7-6 victory. Mitchell trailed 3-2 at the half but outscored the Dragons 5-3 in the second half to pull out the win.

Willa Schoonderwoerd and Lauren Ward also scored for the Stingers while Hannah MacPhee added a pair of assists.

The next day, Dorchester outscored their Mitchell hosts 3-1 in the second half to pull away and record a narrow 6-4 win. McFarlane scored twice for the Stingers while Charlie Lealess and Schoonderwoerd also found the net.
