CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. ( WWSB ) - A suspected driver in a deadly hit-and-run accepted a plea deal in Charlotte County court, allowing the judge to decide his sentence.
Caught on camera: Hillsborough deputies outrun suspect trying to flee
Dean Shrewsbury agreed to the plea on Tuesday. Prosecutors say Shrewsbury hit and killed a bicyclist who was attempting to cross US-41 last December.
He is facing charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving a death. Shrewsbury will be sentenced on December 12th.
He could get up to 30 years in prison.
