Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson on Wednesday attended a flypast of Swedish combat aircraft.
The aerial presentation came as the leaders confirmed a bilateral agreement for Swedish-made Gripen fighter jets to be sent to Ukraine.
The two leaders signed a letter of intent to export up to 150 of Saab's fighter jets following their talks in Linköping, where the jets are produced.
Zelenskyy announced during a joint news conference the countries had agreed for Ukraine to "a serious fleet" of Swedish-made Gripen fighter jets.
"These are excellent aircraft, powerful aviation platforms that allow for the execution of a wide range of missions," he said.
Posting on X, Kristersson said the agreement was a "step towards a massive possible export deal regarding Gripen - likely between 100 and 150 fighter jets".
