Sean Dyche has revealed that he had already accepted the Nottingham Forest in his mind before even holding formal discussions with the club.

The former Burnley and Everton boss had been linked with the position at the City Ground during the October international break before Ange Postecoglou was ultimately given one more game against Chelsea to make an impression.

Within 20 minutes of a 3-0 defeat on Saturday afternoon, , and Dyche was ultimately ushered in as his successor over the 72 hours that followed.

Dyche's appointment was speeded up due to as Forest attempt to end a 10-game winless streak.

Nevertheless, speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Dyche admitted that he needed little convincing to become the next head coach in the Forest dugout.
