ROXAND TWP. — A Lansing man was killed and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Oct. 21 south of Mulliken.

The crash happened about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Mt. Hope Highway and Mulliken Road, Michigan State Police said in a news release.

A 27-year-old Fowler man was driving north when his Pontiac Vibe collided with an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 42-year-old Lansing man who had failed to heed a stop sign, they said.

The Pontiac hit the Malibu on the passenger side, and both vehicles came to rest in a cornfield, police said. The front-seat passenger in the Malibu, a 50-year-old Lansing man, was dead at the scene, and the driver of that car was reported in stable condition at a hospital.
