NORTH LIBERTY — A Corridor brewery was the only one in Iowa to bring home a win from one of the industry’s most prestigious annual competitions this month.

Field Day Brewing earned the silver medal at this year’s Great American Beer Festival on Oct. 11 in Denver, Colorado. The North Liberty brewery earned its award in the American Fruit Beer category for its Lime Featherweight brew.

The winning American lager, made by a brewery whose niche is in Czech and German lagers , is brewed with over 80 pounds of fresh limes in each batch.

Alec Travis, owner and director of brewing operations at Field Day, called the win “huge.”
