HONOLULU (Island News) – After an hours-long barricade situation in Kapahulu that resulted in one law enforcement officer being shot, the suspects involved are now in custody.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Los Angeles Field Division, two people exited the property on Herbert St. and both were taken into custody.
The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) reported that the barricade ended shortly before 1 a.m. on Wednesday and the scene was cleared and roads began to open back up.
“We want to thank our law enforcement partners for their support and for helping to keep the community safe,” stated the DEA Los Angeles Field Division.
