The Punjab Police has arrested Chandigarh Club executive member Vikas Bector in Mohali on charges of extortion and criminal intimidation. Following a case registered at Mullanpur police station under sections 308(3) and 351(3) of the BNS, Bector has been placed in police custody for questioning.

Police sources stated that Bector, along with his associates, allegedly tried to extort money from Chandigarh -based lawyer Gaurav Dhir. The complainant accused Bector of using weapons to threaten and coerce him into handing over money. During the investigation, Bector’s associates, Raman Aggarwal (named in the FIR) and Nitin Goyal, were questioned by the Punjab Police.
