A new sports bar will take over the former Marthie Ann's location, Cambridge Square owners announced on social media Wednesday.

They say local restauranteurs Peter and Tiffany Gibson, creators of Game Day Social, are building out the space and are projected to open their doors in mid-December.

"They are great folks with a lot of experience and passion and we're proud that they are going to call Cambridge home," they stated. "We've had a lot of requests for a sports bar in the development and now it's here!"

The previous restaurant in that space, Marthie Ann's Tennessee Blue Plate, closed on September 2.
