A plane was forced to divert mid-flight due to an “unpleasant odor” coming from a passenger.

Delta Air Lines flight 2311 was headed to Salt Lake City on Saturday when the pilot turned the plane around to return to Los Angeles, KTVX reported.

There were 189 passengers on board, along with the aircraft’s two pilots and four flight attendants.

“As nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people, our crew followed standard procedures to safely return to Los Angeles after an unpleasant odor was detected onboard,” a Delta spokesperson told the Toronto Sun in a statement.

The spokesperson added an apology to flyers for “the delay in their travels.”
