Lawyers for Brian Reza Walshe , the Cohasset man who allegedly killed and dismembered his wife , have been granted access to former State Police investigator Michael Proctor’s federal grand jury testimony related to the Karen Read case as they prepare for Walshe’s murder trial.

Norfolk Superior Court Judge Peter B. Krupp, in an order issued Monday, said prosecutors are seeking to provide Walshe’s lawyers with discovery pertaining to “an unrelated federal proceeding, specifically a chart of call detail records and grand jury testimony of Michael Proctor.”

Proctor was the lead investigator in the Walshe and Read cases, and he was fired after he was forced during Read’s first trial to read aloud vulgar and misogynistic texts he had sent about her.
