The Telangana government has extended the Indiramma Housing scheme to urban areas, allowing eligible poor families to construct G+1 homes on plots of at least 30 sq.m. Each beneficiary will receive Rs 5 lakh in four installments, with construction adhering to RCC slab norms and approved structural designs.

Hyderabad: The State government on Wednesday issued orders extending the Indiramma Housing scheme to urban areas, aiming to provide permanent housing to the urban poor.

Beneficiaries in urban areas would be permitted to build G+1 houses on small plots of at least 30 sq.m i.e. 323 sq.ft.

As per the new guidelines issued through G.O. MS No. 69, houses will be built with a minimum area of 200 sq.ft each on both the ground and first floors, resulting in a total construction area of 4
