JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Hundreds of dogs and cats from both the Jacksonville Humane Society and Animal Care and Protectives Services will gather under one roof this weekend, waiting for their perfect family.

These and at least six other local shelters will join together for Jacksonville's Pet Adoption Festival on Oct. 25-26 at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Organizers say free parking will be available nearby. All adoption fees are waived, and pets come already vaccinated and spayed or neutered.
