Small Business Week continues until Oct. 25 across British Columbia – giving folks in Kelowna and Penticton plenty to celebrate.

Small businesses are a significant part of the Okanagan's economy. In Penticton, 97% of the city’s 3,600 businesses are small, employing fewer than 100 people. Meanwhile, Kelowna is home to over 8,000 small businesses.

In Penticton, the Love Local campaign is encouraging residents to support neighborhood businesses. The initiative offers limited-edition kits that include canvas shopping bags, keychains, and stickers, available while supplies last at penticton.ca/lovelocal

“Behind every local business is a story of passion, hard work, and a deep commitment to our community,” said Blake Laven, Penticton’s development services manager.
