On their way to changing up how the jointly owned Northern Colorado Regional Airport is governed, the city councils of Fort Collins and Loveland have voted to dissolve the current airport commission.
Both Fort Collins' and Loveland's councils unanimously approved the step on Oct. 21.
The airport commission has been in place since 2015 and is a central body focused on communication between the cities and advising on the airport's policies, land use, budget, capital improvements and strategic planning.
