An Aurora Police Department sergeant charged with child sex exploitation who worked as a school resource officer may have additional victims from his 20 years “in a position of trust,” the Federal Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday.
Aaron Jacob “Jake” Bunch was arrested earlier this month and is charged with three felony counts of child sexual exploitation related to selling, publishing and possessing child sexual abuse material.
Bunch worked as a school resource officer in Cherry Creek School District and Aurora Public Schools, and FBI officials believe Bunch “may have sought out minor victims while serving in a position of trust, from 2005 to October 2025,” the agency said in a news release.
