Gymnasts as young as 13 allege they were bullied, fat-shamed and humiliated at a Queensland gymnastics club before being forced out when their families raised the alarm.
The club rejects the claims, saying it ran an internal investigation and found no case to answer.
But it said the gymnasts who made complaints had their squad disbanded months later, citing a lack of available resources for their classes, and said the decision was not linked to the complaints.
The mother of one of the athletes said her daughter had developed food issues after comments allegedly made by a coach.
Six months after the first complaints were made, Gymnastics Australia is preparing its own investigation after being contacted by the ABC.
