Police responded to the wreck at 2:44 p.m. near milepost 4. Their preliminary investigation found that a motorhome driven by Richard Fay McCoy, 57, of Central Point, hit cyclist Wesley Mad Olngellel, 37, also of Central Point, who was in the eastbound lane.
Olngellel died at the scene, police said. McCoy, the motorhome driver, was uninjured.
