After posting 12 consecutive losing seasons, the Gresham football team has availed itself of the OSAA’s lifeline for struggling programs to drop a classification to regroup.

In their first season in the Class 5A Northwest Oregon Conference, the Gophers find themselves 4-3 overall and tied atop the conference standings at 4-1 after handing Milwaukie its first loss of the season 27-21 on Friday.
