Eddie Murphy has kept his home life far, far away from the public eye—until now.

The Shrek star is set to reflect on his rise to superstardom in the upcoming documentary Being Eddie , peeling back the curtain on his evolution from influential standup comic to Saturday Night Live cast member to full-fledged movie star.

And in the Netflix project, fans will get unprecedented access to the 64-year-old’s private world as he invites cameras inside his sprawling estate for the very first time.

“This is a great house to haunt,” he joked in a trailer for the doc released Oct. 22. “In 100 years from now, I’m gonna be around this motherf--ker.”

The doc also seemingly explores how parenthood has impacted Eddie’s life and career. (He shares Eric Murphy , 36, with ex Paulette McNeely
