The Ohio High School Athletic Association will meet Thursday to hold an emergency referendum vote regarding if athletes can earn money from their name, image and likeness.
Tuesday, a Columbus judge temporarily lifted a ban on Ohio high school athletes being able to profit from NIL deals by granting a restraining order against existing eligibility rules. The restraining order lasts for 45 days. Advertisement
Following the judge's ruling, OHSAA Executive Director Doug Ute announced an emergency referendum vote will be held this week.
