Reid Bartholomew and Hazel Cooper used to dedicate their falls to other sports. Bartholomew was once a Gallatin football player and Cooper was on the school’s girls soccer team.
But their main sport had always been track in the spring. And after seeing enough progress on the oval, they independently made the decision to commit even further to running. And that meant joining the cross country team.
Gallatin head coach Graydon Curry said they were welcomed additions.
“You know that even if they don’t come in and end up being one or two, they’re going to probably be in our top five scoring,” Curry said. “So it gives our team outlook so much more potential.”
