Canadiens goalies Jakub Dobes and Samuel Montembeault are about the same size.

Dobes is 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, while Montembeault is 6-foot-3 and 218 pounds. But somehow Dobes has looked much bigger than Montebeault in the net this season and has been stopping a lot more pucks.

Heading into Wednesday’s game against the Flames in Calgary (8:30 p.m., SN, RDS) Dobes had a 3-0 record with a 1.63 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage, while Montembeault was 2-2 with a 3.26 GAA and a .857 save percentage. As a result, head coach Martin St. Louis decided to give Dobes his second straight start against the Flames after he made 30 saves in a 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres Monday at the Bell Centre.
