The Golden State Warriors opened their 2025 season with a 119-109 win over the Lakers, and free throws were a big part of keeping the ship steady. Jimmy Butler went a perfect 16-for-16 from the line, while Stephen Curry was flawless at 8-for-8. But behind those numbers, a little drama was brewing off the radar.

Turns out, Butler’s had a bet with Draymond Green – a bet Curry wasn’t even aware of. This happened before when Green hilariously trolled LeBron James after the team’s win over the Lakers.

As for Butler, he revealed the wager in a chat with ESPN’s Anthony Slater.

“I’ve got a bet with Dray that I got to shoot a better (FT) percentage than No. 30 (Steph) on our team,” he said.

When Curry found out, his reaction was savage.

“This is the first time I’m hearing of it,” Curry alluded
