FLINT, MI – A former Kearsley Community Schools support staff member was charged with second degree criminal sexual conduct after allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with an 11-year-old boy he tutored.

Chad Lee Mosher, 35, allegedly groomed and inappropriately touched the 11-year-old over a period from March 2023 to March 2024, Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said.

Mosher, through Attorney Matthew Norwood, claims that he is innocent.

Mosher was put on leave from the Kearsley Community Schools district in the summer of 2024 when it learned of the investigation.

He was later terminated when charges were brought against him on Sept. 11. Mosher was arraigned on in Genesee County District Court on Sept. 22. His next court date is a preliminary exam scheduled for Oct. 29.
