BRAINERD — When an email from ‘ILHS’ appeared in his inbox, Patrick Spradlin nearly deleted it unread.
“I thought it was spam, or at worst a scam,” he said. “I didn’t know what ‘ILHS’ stood for or who the person sending the email was. Fortunately, I put aside my suspicions and opened it.”
What followed was a months-long preparation for a five city Iowa tour of the one-man play “Clarence Darrow,” presented by Actors Repertory Theatre. An encore performance of the play is slated for 7 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Dryden Theatre on the Brainerd campus of Central Lakes College.
