BROUSSARD, La. (KLFY) -- A Broussard man was arrested for allegedly possessing over 500 counts of sexual abuse material.

Shannon David Miler, 52, of Broussard was arrested yesterday on 504 felony counts of child sexual abuse material under the age of 13, four counts of child sexual abuse material and two counts of sexual abuse of an animal.

Authorities initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The arrest was a result of a joint investigation with The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Miller was booked into a St. Martin Parish jail. There was no information released regarding Miler's bond.
