Bath Road in Kingston was shut down temporarily following a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to police it happened shortly after 10 a.m.

A vehicle that was travelling eastbound along Bath Road struck a pedestrian who was trying to cross the road in an area not designed for pedestrian crossing.

The pedestrian suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said no charges are pending.
