On Wednesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed wide receiver Mike Evans on injured reserve, an expected move after Evans suffered a broken clavicle in the game against Detroit on Monday night. Evans' spot on the 53-man roster was immediately filled with the promotion of veteran guard Michael Jordan from the practice squad.
The Buccaneers also used the spot vacated by Jordan on the practice squad to sign third-year wide receiver Brandon Johnson, who most recently went to training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers this summer.
Evans will have to miss at least four games before he is eligible to return to the active roster, but his absence is expected to be significantly longer than that. On Wednesday, Head Coach Todd Bowles said it would be "touch and go" as to whether Evans is back on the
