It is only October, but there are already seven Power 4 college football jobs open, including Penn State .

Of the open positions, two are in the Big Ten in Penn State and UCLA, two are in the SEC in Florida and Arkansas and two are in the ACC in Virginia Tech and Stanford. There is also one Big 12 school that has an opening in Oklahoma State.

ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg recently ranked the seven open jobs, and he has Penn State at No. 1.

Rittenberg considered on-field performance, access to the College Football Playoff , roster building, university leadership and financial support as he compiled his rankings.
