AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office announced Stacy Huggins, an inmate who left a work detail on Sept. 4,, 2025, has been arrested Wednesday after over a month on the run.

According to police, Huggins, 60, was arrested on Oct. 22 on the 3200 block of Peach Orchard Road and taken to the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.

In an incident report, it states Huggins reportedly left his assigned work site on Wilson Road in Hephzibah, Ga. on foot.
