The majority of Park Forest residents who responded to a villagewide survey on what to do with the shuttered Aqua Center pool complex want an adult swimming area, shade areas, a water slide and a splash pad for children. But they oppose any increase in taxes.

These wide-ranging findings were detailed In an executive summary prepared by Recreation and Parks Director Kevin Adams of the 635 verified village residents who took part in determining the future for the 70-year-old facility.

The Village Board must weigh results of the survey when it decides the future of the complex, which needs to be overhauled before it can open for the 2027 season.
