Evil star Mike Colter is back in business with creators Robert and Michelle King now that their new show Cupertino has been added to CBS's 2026-2027 lineup. After starring as Marvel's Luke Cage on Netflix, as well as in Jessica Jones and The Defenders , Colter joined the cast of Evil , which aired from 2019 to 2024 on CBS and Paramount+.

It was announced back in August that he had signed on to star in a new King-created show.

Variety reported that CBS formally picked up a new TV show for next season called Cupertino from creators and showrunners Robert and Michelle King, who are also on board as executive producers and writers. Colter, who previously starred on the Kings' show Evil , has been cast in the lead role. The pilot episode will be directed by Robert King.
