A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday in a solo-vehicle wipeout in Wilmington.

The rider went down at about 11:50 a.m. Wednesday on or near the on-ramp from westbound Harry Bridges Boulevard to the northbound Harbor (110) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist, whose name, age and gender were not immediately available, was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, a spokeswoman said.

The crash response and investigation closed the on-ramp and a Sigalert was issued, according to the CHP.

An update on the rider’s condition was not immediately available.
