Last year, the New Britain football team started the season with a seven-game win streak, which came to an end at the hands of Glastonbury .

New Britain stumbled and lost its next game by a point to Manchester before righting itself and advancing to the Class LL playoffs for the second straight year.

The two CCC Tier 1 teams will face each other once again Thursday night, this time at New Britain.
