The Washington Commanders (3-4) will travel on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) on "Monday Night Football" without franchise quarterback Jayden Daniels.

Daniels suffered a low-grade right hamstring strain late in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, and while an MRI showed no long-term structural damage , NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday that he won't be available for Week 8.

Daniels has already missed two games this season with a left knee strain and now faces his third missed start in eight games this season.

Immediately after the news broke that Daniels would be out, Polymarket reported that the Commanders' odds to make the playoffs have dropped to a mere 23%.
