A woman who was in the hospital more than seven months ago and was in a coma for two days is sharing her story of survival after she suffered a massive blockage in her lungs that led to multiple organ failure and three cardiac arrests.
Priscilla Timmons was smiling on Wednesday after seeing the doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital West, as well as two golden retrievers named Scrunchie and Honey Crisp, who she credits with saving her life.
"I want them to look at what difference they made," she said.
On March 13, Timmons was in the bathroom at her mother’s house when she suddenly fell on the floor.
According to doctors, she had a massive pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot in her lungs.
