While a lot of shows have tried to outdo the classic series, no TV twist has ever been darker than the revelation of Laura Palmer’s murderer in Twin Peaks 35 years ago this month. While many shows might posit themselves as Twin Peaks replacements , it would be almost impossible for any series to truly manage this feat.
The ABC show was so unique in terms of its tone that it is hard to imagine any series recapturing the style of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s seminal hit.
