MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Arkansas State Police is asking for the public's help as it investigates a hit-and-run that left an 18-year-old man dead.
According to ASP, 18-year-old Jacob Allen Marquis of Marked Tree was fatally struck by a vehicle along I-40.
ASP reports that the crash happened on October 10. Troopers responded to the scene on I-40 near the 262-mile marker, east of the Earle exit, at 10:30 p.m.
According to State Police, a caller reported seeing someone lying in the right lane of traffic. The caller reportedly also told Arkansas State Police that a service truck with flashing hazard lights was parked on the side of the interstate.
State Police report that Marquis, who worked for a nearby business, had been dispatched to repair a tire for a vehicle and had arrived at the scene
