BUFFALO, N.Y. — New York State has announced plans for the 2026 paving plan for projects across the state, including over 20 projects across Western New York.

The New York State Department of Transportation will be investing $600 million into over 180 paving projects across New York for the 2026 construction season; 24 of the projects are located in Western New York.

"New Yorkers will be seeing crews out there like never before next year, rejuvenating highways, enhancing the safety of the traveling public, and laying a solid foundation for economic development across the Empire State," Governor Hochul said in the announcement.

The projects in Western New York will total 310 miles of lanes, totaling just over $49 million.
