The Jacob Markström contract situation continues to unfold in New Jersey, with the 35-year-old goaltender reportedly pushing for a substantial four-year commitment.

While a minor injury has sidelined Markström for what’s expected to be a couple of weeks, negotiations on a new deal haven’t slowed down. Markström is in the final year of a six-year, $36 million contract.
