A Long Island man has been indicted for attempted murder after allegedly slashing a relative’s neck in the victim’s Amityville home late last month, officials said Wednesday.

Angelo Andrade, 49, is accused of slashing the unnamed family member with a knife inside the Jefferson Ave. home on Sept. 21, the Suffolk County district attorney’s office said in a press release.

The attack unfolded “during a conversation” between the two men, prosecutors said. Andrade allegedly grabbed the 45-year-old victim from behind before slashing him across the neck, “causing a significant laceration and bleeding.”

Andrade then allegedly grabbed another victim — a female relative who also lived at the home — and held her at knifepoint while threatening to harm her, authorities said.
