JACKSONVILLE – Fred Taylor remains a Hall candidate.

So do Jimmy Smith and Tom Coughlin , with three of the key figures from the Jaguars' most-historic and successful era still involved in the voting process for the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.

Taylor, the Jaguars' all-time leading rusher, was among 52 players named as modern-era Hall candidates Hall Wednesday. Smith, the leader in receiving yards, touchdowns and receptions, also was named among the 52 modern-era candidates.

Taylor, a Jaguars running back from 1998-2008, has been a finalist the last two years and a semifinalist the last six.
