MANCHESTER, N.H. —
As the debate over health care continues in Washington, Medicare open enrollment in New Hampshire is set to begin in just over a week.
The New Hampshire Insurance Department said this year there will be fewer choices for Granite Staters. The changes affect more than 350,000 people in the state who currently have Medicare.
In 2026, only 19 Medicare Advantage plans will be available, down from 38 in 2025.
Anthem and Martin's Point will no longer offer individual Medicare Advantage plans , and Aetna will drop plans in most counties.

Dr. Mehmet Oz, of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, said it's important to research plans before re-enrolling.
"In almost every part of the
