PHOENIX — A Phoenix man is accused of setting his home on fire while two people were still inside, telling police he was angry about having to move out.

According to court documents, 75-year-old David Ray Hamm is charged with one count of arson of an occupied structure and two counts of felony endangerment for a fire that broke out just before noon on Oct. 15 in the 3200 block of Redfield Road in north Phoenix, near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

When firefighters arrived, they found a bedroom on the north side of the home fully engulfed in flames. The fire was quickly extinguished and investigators were called to the scene.
