TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Florida State football’s Mike Norvell got a chance to go on the record after the university stood by the embattled head coach on Monday.
An uproar of voices has surrounded the football program since Saturday night’s loss at Stanford and Monday morning’s statement from Michael Alford saying the program won’t be assessed until the end of the season.
But notably, we have not been the head coach himself until Wednesday.
Norvell was never slated to have his typical Monday press conference during this open week for the Seminoles, but took to the podium Wednesday morning.
The head coach said he is accountable for the Noles’ four-game skid, calling the outcome unacceptable, but also reiterating the belief that his team can get back on track.
