HEADLAND, Ala. (WDHN) — Over 250 kids from Headland were tossed from competing with other communities in pee wee sports after a string of multiple accusations surfaced regarding cheating before a recent competition, according to the president of Headland Pee Wee Association, Jared Sowell.

"We were hurt, especially the way it transpired, but our future is bright," Sowell said.

Sowell says Headland, who is a founding member of the conference, was voted out by a majority of 10 members in a group text Sunday night after being denied an in-person meeting to address accusations by the conference ahead of the vote.
