It’s been a remarkable season for the VIU Mariners women, but the next match is the biggest yet – the provincial final.

Vancouver Island University’s women’s soccer team completed the Pacific Western Athletic Association regular season this past weekend on the road, shutting out the Capilano Blues 3-0 and then getting past the Douglas Royals, 2-1.

It means the Mariners (10-1-1), who had already clinched the top seed in the PacWest, maintain all their momentum ahead of provincials this coming weekend, Oct. 25-26, in Squamish.
