LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo Proud Inc. and community partners will host their first binational anti-bullying poetry contest on Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Laredo ISD Performing Arts Center.
The event encourages participants to express anti-bullying messages in English, Spanish or any language of their choice. Attendees are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.
Each winner will receive a $200 prize. Registration is currently open.
Juan Carlos Mendoza, consul general of Mexico in Laredo, said the contest offers multiple ways for participants to share their message.
