BIRMINGHAM — The city of Birmingham is familiar territory for Alabama State football receiver Jalen Jones.

The redshirt freshman won a 5A AHSAA state title with Ramsay High School in 2022. In his senior season with Ramsay, Jones hauled in 71 catches for 1,254 yards and led the region with 15 touchdowns.

Now Jones will play at historic Legion Field on Saturday, Oct. 25, a stadium only 15 minutes away from Ramsay.

"It's just special. I'm going to have a lot of family coming up and high school coaches that instilled the parts of who I am today are going to be there," Jones told the Montgomery Advertiser. "This city offered me my first stage, so it's special to be back here on a bigger stage." FIRST DOWN AND JONES: First down and Jones: Alabama State’s offensive catalyst Need a news b
